Shoplifters

 

Belleville, Ontario –On April 19th, 2014, at 10:13 a.m. police responded to a north end grocery store in relation to a shoplifter.  It was learned that store security had pursued the suspect on foot to Tracey St. where he was detained for police.  A 40 year old Belleville man was charged with theft under $5000.00.  He will appear in court in May.

 

 

At 6:22 p.m. police attended in the parking lot of a north end grocery store as multiple calls were received about a disturbance.  Store security had attempted to apprehend a shoplifter who resisted their efforts.  He was held for police and a 38 year old Belleville man was charged with theft under $5000.00, resist arrest, and breach of probation.  No one was injured during in this incident.  He will appear in court in May.

 

 

Disturbances

 

Belleville, Ontario – On April 19th, 2014, at 8:25 p.m. police attended on N. Front St. near Tracey St. in relation to a domestic.  A 32 year old Quinte West woman was arrested for breach of the peace.  No one was injured in this incident.

 

 

On April 20th, 2014, at 12:25 a.m. police attended on W. Moira St. at Sidney St. with regards to an unruly male.  A 32 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. The accused was sporting minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

 

 

Stolen Bicycle

 

Belleville, Ontario –On April 11th, 2014, police investigated the theft of a mountain bike from Sir James Whitney School.  The bike is a 21 speed Norco Storm which is black in colour with lime green trim and lettering.  The bike has front suspension shocks with upgraded pedals.  There is a picture of this bicycle on file.
