Break and enter suspect identified

Belleville, Ontario – On August 10th, 2015 police attended at Quinte Gardens on College Street West in relation to a suspicious male that was observed on the property on August 7th at 2:30 a.m.. Photos were obtained of a male trying apartment doors. As a result of an investigation, a 30 year old Ottawa man was identified and arrested on August 19th, 2015. Christopher Vancott will appear in court on October 1st, 2015 on a charge of break and enter with intent.

Disturbances

Belleville, Ontario – On August 20th, 2015, at 7:22 p.m. police attended on North Park Street with regards to a disturbance. It was learned that family members were restraining an intoxicated person. A 20 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.  There were no injuries.

On August 21st, 2015, at 3:00 a.m. police attended on North Front Street at College Street in relation to a disturbance. A 24 year old Belleville man was arrested on outstanding warrants held by Kingston Police Service and Napanee OPP. He was turned over to an escort from the Kingston Police Service.
