Belleville ON - The Belleville Police are alerting the community to a texting scam identifying themselves as BMO. A text is received saying  (ALERT!) Your BMO bank account has been suspended. To unlock your account, click here: and a link is provided. The text is a phishing text. It’s not coming from BMO. If you have clicked on the link provided in the text, make sure that you clear your cookies and browsing data on your phone. The BMO website has more information regarding scams and contact numbers.
