The Belleville Police Service responded to 65 calls between August 19th 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and August 21st 2019 at 5:00 a.m.


Belleville ON – On 19 August 2019, at 7:00 p.m., a Central Taxi cab picked up a female patron on Dunbar Street. While transporting the female party to an address on Charles Street, the cab driver's float was stolen. The float contained $250 in cash. The female suspect is described as being white, 5’7, heavy set build, and in her late 20’s to early 30’s. Domestic Disturbance

Belleville ON – On 19 August 2019, at 10:15 p.m., police attended a disturbance call at a residence on Cannifton Road. Upon arrival, officers could hear a male party screaming for help. Officers entered the residence and arrested a female party. Due to the domestic nature of the incident the accused name cannot be released. A 26-year-old Belleville woman was charged with 1 count of assault with a weapon and 1 count of utter threats. The male victim did not require medical attention. The female accused will appear in Belleville court on September 9th.

Public Intoxication   

Belleville ON – On 20 August 2019, at 2:00 a.m., police attended a residence on Yeomans Street with regard to an unwanted person. A 24 year-old Belleville man was arrested for public intoxication. During the arrest the male accused become combative with police. The male was tasered and taken to the police station where he was held until sober and later released on a provincial offence notice.
