Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario – On December 19th, 2015, at 11:45 p.m. a motorist reported that an impaired driver was travelling east on Dundas St. East at Haig Road. The vehicle was located on the shoulder of the road at Point Anne Lane. The driver was arrested for impaired driving. The 24 year old Tweed man was charged with impaired driving and over 80 mgs and will appear in court on January 14th, 2016. His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

On December 20th, 2015, at 4:15 a.m. an officer on patrol observed a vehicle travelling the wrong way on Campbell St. in the downtown core. A 25 year old Scarborough man was arrested for impaired driving. He will appear in court on January 14th, 2016 on charges of impaired driving and over 80 mgs.

RIDE Program

Belleville, Ontario – The RIDE Team checked 275 cars overnight. Two motorists were issued 3-day licence suspensions. One of the drivers was also charged with operate a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level above zero.

Disturbances

Belleville, Ontario – On December 20th, 2015, between 1:58 a.m. and 2:28 a.m. five disturbances were reported on North Front Street. A 33 year old Quinte West man was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place. There were no injuries.
