Motor Vehicle Collisions


Belleville, Ontario - Police responded to six motor vehicle collisions throughout the city yesterday.


At 9:02 am, police responded to Pinnacle Street in regards to an accident involving a city bus and another vehicle.   As a result of an investigation, the driver of the vehicle was charged with Follow too closely contrary to Section 158(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.  There were no injuries.


At 11:54 am, police responded to Dundas Street West involving a two vehicle accident. There were no injuries in this collision and as a result of an investigation; one of the drivers was charged with Follow Too Closely.


At 3:57 pm, police, fire and ambulance responded to Moira Street East for a two vehicle collision that resulted in one of the vehicles striking a porch of a residence.  There were minor injuries but no one was transported to hospital.  One of the drivers was charged with Start from Stopped Position not in safety contrary to Section 142(2) of the Highway Traffic Act.
