Break and Enters
Belleville, Ontario; Belleville Police responded to two break and enter calls on 20 July. In the early morning hours police attended a West Hill residence that had been entered sometime over night. The residence was under construction and a number of tools were reported stolen. During the evening police responded to a residence on College Street West for a report of a break and enter that had occurred sometime during the previous 5 days. Taken were electronics, DVD,s and video games.
Belleville, Ontario: At 1010pm on 19 July 2017 an officer on patrol conducted a vehicle stop on Coleman Street for an expired validation sticker. The officer noted that the driver had been consuming alcohol and administered a road side breath test. The driver failed the test and was taken to the Belleville Police Service for additional testing. The drivers blood alcohol level was found to be nearly 3 times the legal limit. Michael Bonia of Newfoundland was charge with operating a motor vehicle with over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood. The accused was released from custody and will appear in court on 3 August 2017. The drivers license was suspended for 90 days,
Belleville, Ontario; At approximately 11pm on 19 July 2017 officers attended the area of Dundas Street West and Bay Bridge Road for a report of a suspicious person. Police located a man who was found to be breaching his conditions of Probation. The male was arrested and charged with one count of breach of Probation and released from custody to appear in court on 27 July 2017
Belleville Ontario: At approximately 1am on 20 July 2017 Police we called to a Coleman Street address for a report of a disturbance. A suspect was later observed at a business on North Front Street. Upon seeing police the suspect fled through a number of back yards and was eventually caught by fleet footed officers. The male was arrested for numerous breaches of recognizance and on outstanding warrants that had been issued in Belleville and Napanee. The male will not be named due nature of the original charges. The 34 year old Belleville man was held for a show cause hearing on 20 July 2017
