Sexual Assault
Belleville, Ontario – On March 19th, 2014 investigators with the Belleville Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division arrested a 15 year old youth in relation to an incident from 2013. This was a joint investigation with the Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society as well as Family Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington. Charges include sexual assault, sexual interference, and bestiality. The youth will appear in Belleville Youth Court in April. Police and child protection workers are continuing the investigation.
Arrested on warrants
Belleville, Ontario – On March 19th, 2014, at 12:25 p.m. police attended near the tracks on East Moira Street in relation to a suspicious male. A 45 year old Belleville man was arrested on outstanding warrants held by the Belleville Police Service. The charges include assault and mischief. He was held for a bail hearing on March 20th.
Domestic Assault
Belleville, Ontario – On March 19th, 2014, at 7:20 p.m. police attended on Front Street in relation to an assault complaint. A 45 year old Belleville woman was arrested after it was learned that she had assaulted her boyfriend. She had initially knocked his glasses off and stepped on them while on the ground. The victim was headbutted in the face and punched several times. He suffered a cut to his forehead. The accused was charged with assault, mischief, and two counts of breach of probation. She was held for a bail hearing on March 20th.
Intoxicated persons
Belleville, Ontario – On March 20th, 2014 at 12:15 a.m. an officer on patrol observed a male staggering on Front Street. A 30 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
At 1:40 a.m. police attended in the area of Dundas Street East at Dufferin Avenue in relation to an intoxicated male. A 54 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
