Domestic Dispute Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 8:07 pm on October 19, 2013 police responded to a report of a male and female involved in a domestic dispute at a Donald Street residence. The investigation revealed that the dispute had become physical and the female involved had suffered minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. The male suspect was arrested at the scene and transported to the Belleville Police Service. A 48 year old Belleville man faces a charge of Assault and was later released on a Promise to Appear in court. His name will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

Impaired Driver Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 12:56 am on October 20, 2013 police responded to the Byron Street / Cannifton Road area of the city to investigate a report of a parked vehicle being struck by another vehicle travelling eastbound on Byron Street. Upon arrival they found that the driver was impaired by alcohol and he was arrested at the scene and transported to the Belleville Police Service. The investigation revealed that he had been driving with more than the legal amount of alcohol in his bloodstream. He was also found to be a prohibited driver. George Eliopoulos, 44, of Belleville faces charges of Impaired Driving, Over 80MG, and Driving While Disqualified. He was released from custody on a Promise to Appear with a court date of November 7, 2013.
