update:  Belleville Police Service requesting Public’s assistance Scotiabank robbery

On 7 April 2016 Belleville Police responded to a report of a robbery at Scotia Bank located at 175 Front Street.

Investigation by the Criminal Investigations Branch has revealed that a lone male entered the bank at 0951 hours and demanded money leaving with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries and no weapon was observed.

The male was last seen running east on Macannany Street toward Pinnacle Street.

The male is described as follows:

  • White Male

  • 5’7” – 5’8”

  • average build

  • 45 – 55 years of age

  • Large reddish nose (described as a drinkers nose)

  • Pock-marked face

  • Clean shaven

  • Short cut hair on the sides

  • Wearing an old black leather jacket, grey hoodie and sunglasses

  • Running shoes
