Sexual assault

Belleville - Police are presently investigating a sexual assault allegation, which occurred on the 31st day of August 2018 at approximately 7:30 pm, at the Quinte exhibition grounds  located at Bridge Street West and Sidney street .The incident took place at the  port-a-potty’s on the west side of the grand stands during the demolition derby .If anyone noticed a disturbance in that area could you contact Sergeant Ian Jarvis at the Belleville Police Service  at 613 9660882   ext 2312



Belleville – On the 20th of September 2018 at 2:25 p.m. police responded to a call of a shoplifter at a north end retail store. Investigation resulted in 59 year old female Johanna Coccioloni being charged with theft under $5000. Coccioloni was released at the scene by police on an appearance notice with an October court date to answer to the charge.


Intoxicated male

Belleville – On the 20th of September 2018 shortly after 7:00 p.m. police received a call of a disturbance on Stone St. in Belleville. Upon arrival they were confronted with an intoxicated aggressive male. Police were required to Taser the male in order to bring him into custody. A 23 year old Bancroft male was arrested for being intoxicated in a common area of a residence and taken to The Belleville Police Service where friends later picked him up after he was released on a provincial offence notice. There were no injuries sustained as a result of the arrest.
