Break & Enter(s)

Belleville, Ont. ? On May 22, 2010, an apartment on Sidney Street was broken into. The Break & Enter occurred sometime between 8:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. Entry was gained through a rear patio door and a Black ACER lap top and a cell phone were taken.

Another apartment was reported broken in to on Howard Street on May 23, 2010. The Break & Enter occurred sometime after May 22, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. to the time it was reported on May 23, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Entry was gained through a rear basement window. A Samsung Notebook computer and jewelry were taken.

A home on South Church Street was entered on May 21, 2010. At 10:00 the owners came home to find the back door to their home had been ?kicked' in. Once inside suspects removed cash.

A residence on Dunbar Street was broken into on May 23, 2010. The entry occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The home owners originally reported this as an attempt break and enter as when the arrived home it appeared suspects attempted to gain entry through the front door. On checking further it was found entry had been gained through a south side window. Once inside suspects stole a HP Digital Camera and a cell phone.

All of these Break & Enters are currently under investigation.

Possession of Stolen Property

Belleville, Ont. - On March 19, 2010 at 1:00 a.m., a resident on Willard Street reported a Break & Enter to his home. This had been the second entry reported to this same residence since December 2009. The same entry point, a window on the second floor roof, was used in both Break & Enters. In the March entry suspects removed a PV Rage amp, Gibsonelectric guitar and anOscar Schmidt acoustic guitar.

On March 21, 2010, the home owner called police as he had located the Oscar Schmidt acoustic guitar at a business on North Front Street. Further investigation revealed the guitar was sold to the business by a local male and a warrant was issued for his arrest in relation to the possession of the property.

On May 23, 2010, police responded to a disturbance on St. Charles St. A police check revealed the complainant in this call was the male wanted on outstanding warrants for the possession of the stolen guitar. Arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property is Randall Gibson, 27 years from the City of Belleville.

Theft of ATV

Belleville, Ont. - On May 22, 2010, police were dispatched to an Applewood residence regarding the Theft of an ATV. The owner had left his ATV on his trailer parked in the lot of his apartment building. Sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. suspects removed the ATV from the trailer. Stolen was a 2009 GMT 450 orange and black ATV. The ATV was not plated at the time it was taken and the approximate value is $9000. There is a personal plate on the rear of the ATV with word ESSEN.

Theft from Motor Vehicle(s)

Belleville, Ont. ? Police received three reports of thefts from Motor Vehicles overnight from May 22nd to May 23rd. A vehicle was entered on Sarah Court and Tom Tom GPS was removed. No damage to the vehicle was reported in this entry. A vehicle was entered on Albany Heights and again a Tom Tom GPS was removed. This vehicle had been left unlocked. A third vehicle was entered on Progress Ave and an Panasonic Tough Book lap top, Oakley vault carry case, and a gym bag containing personal clothing were taken.
