Impaired Driving
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 21st of April 2009 at approximately 3:24am police were called to a location on Coleman Street for a  Motor Vehicle Collision where a vehicle had struck a another parked vehicle on Coleman Street.  As police were arriving on scene, officers observed a white male wearing a black tank top, described as having a Mohawk haircut and thin in stature fleeing the scene on foot.  He was immediately located by officers and arrested.  The investigation into the collision resulted in charges of Impaired Driving and Over 80 Mgs  being laid  

against a 24 year old Belleville man.  He was released this morning on a Promise to Appear with a court date in June 2009.    

 
Belleville, Ontario - On the 21st of April 2009 at approximately  9:45 p.m., Police received a complaint of an Impaired Driver in the Village of Cannifton. The vehicle was located, and the driver, a 44 year old Belleville man was arrested for Impaired Driving.  Police investigation determined his readings were 3 times higher than the legal limit. He was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80Mgs. He was released on a Promise to Appear and has a court date in May 2009.

  

Theft

Belleville, Ontario ? On the 21st of April 2009 at approximately 5:48pm, Police were called to a store at the Quinte Mall in relation to a Theft.  An incident of theft had been captured on video earlier in the afternoon. Images of a suspect who was in the store waiting for a prescription to be filled, were captured as he was stealing an expensive fragrance.  Police located the suspect and he was charged with one count of Theft Under $5000.00 and released with a court date in May 2009.   

 

Breach of Probation

Belleville, Ontario - On the 21st April 2009 at 10:00pm, a 15 year old Belleville girl was apprehended during an investigation on Bridge St. West. She was charged with Breach of probation and turned over to a guardian.  She will appear in Youth Court in May.

 
Munincipal Noise By-Law
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 21st of April 2009 at approximately 5:25 am Police were called to an address on Lewis Street in relation excessive noise.

Police had been previously called to the same address twice before, the first time at 11:15pm, and the second time at 3:31 am, at which time the occupants had been cautioned with being charged under the Noise By-Law.  The third time and final time Police were called to this same address at 5:25am resulted in a 22 year old female being charged under the City?s Noise By-Law.  She was issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
