Missing Person Located: Deborah RASHOTTE

Belleville, Ontario ? April 16, 2010 at approximately 5:00 p.m., a body was recovered from the Moira River in the area of Cannifton. The deceased has been positively identified as Deborah RASHOTTE, 27 years old from the City of Belleville.

Deborah RASHOTTE was reported missing to the Belleville Police Service on February 11, 2010, at 8:10 p.m. by her family. She was last seen approximately one month prior to the reporting date in the area of St. Thomas Church in Belleville. This missing person's case was being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Division and officers have interviewed over 50 witnesses and conducted various searches in the Quinte area in the hopes of locating RASHOTTE.

A post-mortem was completed April 20, 2010 at the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto and cause of death was determined as drowning. No foul play is suspected. Police wish to thank the public and the media for their support and assistance throughout this investigation.
