Drive Disqualified
Belleville, Ontario ? On 20 April, 2011 at 6:00 p.m., police received information in relation to a suspended driver operating a Dodge Caliber. Police located this vehicle on Russell Street. The driver (who was known to police) was confirmed to be a disqualified driver and arrested. Further investigation revealed that the male was in possession of a controlled substance and was on release conditions not to possess any drugs scheduled from the Controlled Drug and Substance Act. Leo Quinlan (28 years) of Belleville has been charged with Drive While Disqualified, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Breach of Undertaking. Quinlan will appear in Provincial court on 9 June, 2011.

Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario ? On 20 April, 2011 at 8:02 a.m., police attended at a business in 600 block of Dundas Street, East in response to a complaint of a break that occurred sometime between 5:40 p.m. on 19 April, 2011 and 8:00 a.m. on 20 April, 2011. The thief (ves) stole electronics and cash. This investigation is ongoing.

Flight from Police/ Dangerous Driving
Belleville, Ontario ? On 20 April, 2011 at 11:35 p.m., police attempted to stop a Maroon Dodge Caravan on Catharine Street. The vehicle fled east bound on Catharine Street to Coleman Street and eventually onto Dundas Street heading east. The vehicle was stopped in a parking lot at Dundas Street and Front Street. The driver of the vehicle has been charged with Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle, Take Motor Vehicle without Consent, Flight From Police and Drive Motor Vehicle ? No license. The 16 year old Belleville male will appear in Youth court on 24 May, 2011. The Youth Criminal Justice Act protects the identity of any person under 18 years that has been charged with a Criminal Offence.
