Aggravated Assault & Extortion

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 30, 2009, Belleville Police investigated a serious assault that took place at a motel on North Front Street. The victim, a 50 year old Belleville man, received serious head and facial injuries as a result of this assault.

The investigation has resulted in several charges being laid against three males;

Michael BURSHAW, 24 years from the City of Belleville, has been charged with one count each of Forcible Entry, Aggravated Assault, Extortion, Robbery and Forcible Confinement.

William Trever DENNIS, 33 years old from the City of Peterborough, has been charged with one count each of Forcible Entry, Aggravated Assault, Extortion, Robbery and Forcible Confinement.

A warrant has been issued for a third male, Randy Christopher HARRISON, 48 years old, last known to be in the Peterborough area. HARRISON is wanted for one count each of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Utter Threats to Cause Death, Forcible Entry, Aggravated Assault, Extortion, Robbery and Forcible Confinement.

HARRISON is described as white, 5'10?, 197 lbs, long blond hair, goatee, blue eyes, and various tattoos on both arms and chest. (see Most Wanted)

Break & Enter

Belleville, Ontario ? On December 21, 2009, a business on Herchimer Ave reported a Break & Enter. The Break & Enter occurred sometime between December 19th from 10:00 a.m., to the 21st at 6:00 a.m. A large amount of cash and a Greek passport was stolen.

Theft from Motor Vehicle(s)

Belleville, Ontario ? Several vehicles were entered overnight from the 20th to the 21st of December.

On December 21, 2009 at 4:00 a.m., a Forest Hill Cres., resident phoned police as she had observed a male attempting to gain entry to her vehicle. A neighbour of the woman chased the suspect who fled from the area. The investigation revealed three other vehicles on Forest Hill had also been entered. All four vehicles had been left insecure and all were entered however nothing of value had been left in these vehicles therefore nothing was taken.

The suspect who had fled from the area was not located at this time.

A vehicle that had been left parked in the parking lot of Emmanuel Baptist Church on Rollins Cres was damaged and entered. The driver's window was smashed and thieves took a Garmin GPS, charger and bag containing personal clothing and accessories.

A vehicle was also entered on Melrose Cres and a Sirus satellite stereo and change were taken from the vehicle.

These incidents are currently under investigation.
