Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ont., - On the 21st of January 2009 at 08:17 hrs, the complainant had started her vehicle and let it warm up. Unknown white male suspect wearing a hoodie entered the vehicle and left with it heading eastbound on Bridge Street West. The vehicle is a 2007 Kia 4 Door, white in colour with Ontario licence plate AMZH130.

Missing Youth Located / Breach Undertaking

Belleville, Ont., - On the 21st of January 2009 at approximately 1155hrs, a missing 15 year old female was located at a high school in the east end. Upon seeing police she fled the area on foot. After a lengthy foot chase by officers, she was located hiding underneath a backyard deck and was arrested for Breach of Undertaking. She has been held for a Bail Hearing on 22nd of January 2009.


Belleville, Ont., - On the 21st of January at 1154 hrs, police were called to a north end city store where two adult male shoplifters were arrested and charged. Both males were released at the scene with court dates for Theft Under $5000.00.


Belleville, Ont., - On the 21st of January 2009 at approximately 1320 hrs, police received information that a male wanted on outstanding warrants held by Napanee OPP was currently in a downtown establishment drinking. Officers arrived on scene where they located and identified the male in question and placed him under arrest. The 33 year old Shannonville man was taken to Belleville Police Services where he was held in cells pending the arrival of the Napanee OPP to execute their warrant.

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, Ont., - Police were called to a total of 6 motor vehicle collisions resulting in damages. The result of one the collisions investigated was a 51 year old Wellington man being charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
