The Belleville Police Service responded to 52 calls for service between July 20th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and July 21st, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

ATV Roll Over

Belleville, ON – On the 20th of July 2019 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Belleville Police Officers were called to a west end location for a report of an ATV roll over. A 53 year-old Belleville woman was taken to BGH with unspecified injuries but non-life threatening in nature. The incident is still under investigation.

Domestic Assault

Belleville, ON – On the 20th of July 2019 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a female attended the police station to report a history of domestic assaults at the hands of her significant other. With the information at hand, police officers arrested a 39 year-old Belleville man for assault cause bodily harm, assault with a weapon and assault x3 which took place over the course of several months. The male was held for a show cause hearing on the 21st of July 2019.

Warrants

Belleville, ON – On the 21th of July 2019 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Belleville Police Officers received a call to attend the area of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road and Dundas Street West regarding a possible intoxicated female walking on the side of the road. Officers identified the female as 38 year-old Jamie-Lynn Whiteman of Belleville. Whiteman had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for failure to attend court. Luckily for her, the warrant was endorsed. She was release on a promise to appear with a court date of the 8th of August 2019.

Disturbance

Belleville, ON – On the 21st of July 2019 at approximately 10:05 p.m., police received a call to an east end location for a report of a female that had possibly been tossed from a second story window. Further investigation revealed that the female had attended a residence and entered into a dispute with the occupants. She attempted to make her get away by leaping from a second story window onto an awning below hoping it would cushion her fall. Unfortunately, she fell straight through the awning to the ground below. She was observed leaving the scene in a vehicle but officers located the female a short time later. They confirmed that the female did not sustain any injuries as a result of her fall and ensured that she was safe for the remainder of the evening.
