INTOXICATED PUBLIC PLACE
Belleville, Ont. - On the 21st of June, 2009 at 2:08am a 30 yr old male was arrested for public intoxication from a north end drinking establishment. The male was resisting officers and the OC (pepper) spray was deployed to subdue the male. He was lodged in the cells. Shortly after that, at 2:20am a 24 year old male from Michigan, USA was arrested for intoxication from the same establishment. He was lodged in cells.
RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE
Belleville, Ont. - On the 21st of June, 2009 at 1:50 am an officer observed a car run a red light travelling northbound on North Front Street and College Street. The officer signaled the car to pull over, which it did near Colour Your World by pulling into the lot. Once in the lot, the driver and passenger jumped out of the moving vehicle and fled on foot. The vehicle sustained minor scratches when it came to rest near some bushes. Investigation revealed that the car had been stolen from a residence in Deseronto sometime after 8:00pm on the 20th of June. The two male occupants were not located.
The driver is described as: male, white, 5?8?, slim build, short brown hair. Wearing: white ball cap, white hooded sweatshirt with dark pattern, blue jeans.
The passenger is described as: male, white, 5?10?, slim build, short brown hair. Wearing: red ball cap, brown hooded sweatshirt with dark pattern, blue jeans.
Belleville, Ont. - On the 21st of June, 2009 officers conducted a RIDE check. 673 vehicles were checked with no infractions encountered. Officers advised that the some of the credit goes to the use of designated drivers.
Belleville, Ont. ? On the 21st of June, 2009 at 8:00pm officers received information that a 34 year old male Belleville male, wanted by Kingston Police on a warrant for theft and fail to appear was walking in the area of Sinclair St. Officers attended and located the male. He was arrested and Kingston Police attended Belleville to return him to Kingston.
Disturbance & Warrants
Belleville, Ont. - On the 21st of June, 2009 at 9:00pm officers were attending an east end residence in reference to a disturbance call. While investigating that incident a 19 year old Belleville male was located in the residence and it was discovered he was wanted by Belleville Police Service on an outstanding warrant for Domestic Assault from April 2009. He was arrested and transported to the Police Service. Upon hearing of the arrest, another officer recognized the male as a person he dealt with on the 29th of May, 2009. At that time the male had given a false name to avoid being identified so he would not be arrested on the outstanding warrant. He was subsequently charged with Obstruct Police. He is to appear in court in July.
