Impaired Driving with Arrest

Belleville, Ontario - On 20 September, 2010 at 3:44 p.m., the police were notified of a possible impaired driver by 3 separate members of the public. This citizen reported that the male driver (believed to be impaired) of a red Mazda was driving in the area of Wareham Street. Police checked several locations in an attempt to locate this vehicle.

At 4:12 p.m., police observed this vehicle on Mc Annany Street. The vehicle was eventually stopped in the parking lot opposite Mc Annany Street. The driver of this vehicle has been charged with one count of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and one count of Operation with more than 80 mgs of Alcohol. Jean-Francois Paradis (25 years) of Trenton will appear in Provincial court on 7 October, 2010.

Belleville Police Service would like to remind the public of the benefits of using Operation Lookout.

Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario ? On 21 September, 2010 at 4:48 a.m., police responded to an alarm at a business on Front Street. Investigation confirmed that the unknown person(s) had gained entry to the business by breaking the glass above the main door. Nothing has been reported as stolen. This investigation is ongoing.
