The Belleville Police Service responded to 65 calls for service between November 20th, 2018 at 5:00 a.m. and November 21st, 2018 at 5:00 a.m.

Stunt Driving

Belleville, Ontario – On November 20th, 2018, at 11:48 a.m. an officer was performing radar duties on Old Hwy 2. The officer clocked a vehicle at 127 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. The 21-year-old male driver was charged with stunt driving and will appear in Traffic Court on December 3rd, 2018. His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence was suspended for seven days.

Four - car collision

Belleville, Ontario - On November 20th, 2018, at 7:17 p.m. officers attended at a four-car collision on North Front Street. Three cars were stopped in the southbound lanes south of Tracey Street when a car slammed into the rear of the first stopped car. This force caused the chain reaction collision with the next two stopped cars. Paramedics attended to treat several people at the scene. Two of the cars were towed from the scene. A 29-year old male was charged with careless driving.
