Break and Enter Charges – Male arrested

Belleville, On – On 21 July, 2017 at approximately 9:00 a.m., police received a call to a west end residence where the homeowner reported that sometime overnight an unknown person had broke into their residence and stole several items along with their vehicle. Following an investigation, police were able to locate the person responsible for the break and enter, the stolen vehicle and property near Tyendinaga.

As a result, a 46 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with numerous offences including Break and Enter, theft over $5000 and possession of stolen property.  He was held for a Show Cause Hearing. 


Police Assistance

Belleville, On – On 21 July, 2017 at 10:30 p.m. police were requested to attend a business on Bell Blvd regarding 2 young children who had been dropped off by their mother who then left.  The business was due to close at 10pm and by 10:30pm, the mother had not returned.  Police attended and spoke to the children.  Following a short investigation, police were able to locate the mother at another nearby business in Belleville.  The mother advised that she mistakenly believed the business closed at 11pm.  Police did not proceed with any charges however the Children’s Aid Society was contacted who will conduct further follow-up.
