Pedestrian Hit and Run :Follow-up

Investigators with the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch are looking to identify several persons who came to the aid of a female pedestrian who was stuck by a vehicle in the parking lot of 44 Moira St. W. earlier this month.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of a shopping plaza at the corner of Moira and Coleman streets shortly before 7 a.m. on October 7, 2013.

The female pedestrian who was stuck sustained serious injuries and is still currently undergoing treatment in hospital.

Pedestrian Hit and Run

Belleville, Ontario On October 7th, 2013, a female pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle near the intersection of Moria Street West and Coleman Street. The suspect vehicle fled the scene leaving the seriously injured pedestrian lying on the ground. Ambulance was contacted by a citizen and the injured woman was taken to hospital where she remains with major but non-life threatening injuries. The Technical Traffic Investigation Unit, Forensic Identification Unit and the Criminal Investigation Branch are seeking assistance from the public to help identify the vehicle and persons responsible for this crime. The vehicle is described as a 2004-2006 Grey 4 door car possibly a Pontiac. The vehicle would possibly have damage to the front end and windshield area.
