Traffic Violations
Belleville, Ont., - On the 22nd of January 2009 at about 10:12 am, an officer stopped a 21 year old Belleville man operating a vehicle. Further investigation revealed he was operating his vehicle with no insurance, and a suspended license, resulting in those same charges. His driver?s license was seized and his vehicle was towed from the location.
Shoplifter
Belleville, Ont., - On the 22nd of January 2009 at about 2:23 pm, officers were called to a Belleville north end business in relation to a male adult shoplifter. Police charged the 19 year old Belleville man with Theft Under $5000.00 and released him at the scene with a court date.
Unsafe Conditions
Belleville, Ont., - At about 5:30pm on the 22nd of January 2009, police received information of a Snowmobile crossing back and forth across the Moira River at East Riverside Park. The Snowmobile had left the area prior to police arrival. Police are reminding the public of the unsafe and unpredictable conditions of the ice on the River.
Liquor Licence Act
Belleville, Ont,. - On the 22nd of January 2009 at about 10:12 pm Police were called to Loyalist College in relation to liquor offences. As a result of the investigation, officers charged three adult females for consuming open liquor.
