The Belleville Police Service responded to 44 calls between July 21st 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and July 22nd 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Drug and Breach charges

Belleville ON-  On July 21st  2019 at 8 am, police responded at a call of an intoxicated male staggering in the east end of the city.  The 37 year-old male was located and arrested for his own protection and while searching the male a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine was found on him.  The male was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released with a court date in August.    

Belleville ON – On July 21st 2019 at 930 am, an officer on patrol in the east end located a 40 year-old male who was currently on a probation order not to be found in Hastings County.  While arresting the male a quantity of a suspected illegal opioid was found on the male.  The male was charged with breaching three counts of his probation and possession of a controlled substance.  As a result he was held for a bail hearing. 

Motor Vehicle Collison

Belleville ON - On July 21st 2019 at 2:30pm police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of North Front Street and College Street.  There were no injuries and as a result of the investigation one of the driver’s was charged with careless driving.

Warrant arrest

Belleville ON- On July 21st 2019 at 11:30 pm, police attended an address in the east end for an unrelated investigation.  While in the residence the responding officer recognized a male who was currently wanted by Quinte West OPP.  The 27 year-old male was arrested and was turned over to the OPP.
