Motor Vehicle Collisions

 

Belleville, Ontario – On June 21st, 2017, officers responded to 10 collisions. The majority of these were parking lot mishaps except for the following:

 

-at 6:41 a.m. police attended at the Hwy 37 overpass at the 401 in relation to a two-car collision. One of the drivers was charged with making an unsafe lane change. No one was injured.

 

-at 10:51 a.m. police attended at the intersection of Church Street and Victoria Avenue in relation to a three-car collision. EMS attended but there were no reported injuries. Two of the cars were towed from the scene. One of the drivers was charged with failing to stop at a red light.

 

-at 4:07 p.m. police attended at the 4-way stop at Bridge Street East and Bleecker Avenue in relation to a two-car accident. One of the motorists was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign. No one was injured.

 

-at 1:28 a.m. (June 22nd) police attended on Dundas Street West east of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road as a car had struck a deer. The car sustained front end damage but was still driveable. The deer was last seen running eastbound. Officers checked the surrounding area for the deer but were unsuccessful. The driver was not injured.
