Suspicious Person Belleville, Ontario


 At approximately 6:42 pm on March 21, 2014 police were called to a Front Street business to investigate a report of a suspicious person attempting to pawn items that were still in their packaging. The male was located by officers a short distance away and the investigation revealed that he had numerous items in his possession that had been stolen earlier at another Belleville business. He was arrested at the scene and transported to the Belleville Police Service. Charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 is Michael Campoli, aged 26, of Deseronto. He was later released on a Promise to Appear with a first appearance of May 22, 2014.


Traffic Advisory Belleville, Ontario


 At approximately 3:02 am on March 22, 2014 police were called to the area near Station Street at Albion Street to assist the Belleville Fire Department at a house fire. Firefighters are still on scene and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Station Street have been closed between Albion Street and Stokes Street until further notice.
