Weapons Offenses

On March 21st, city police were dispatched to a north/east address in the early afternoon to maintain the peace during a routine standby. However, a 19 year old male was arrested who had become unruly for breach of the peace & shortly later, found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon.  The suspect was held in custody to attend a bail hearing scheduled for this Monday, March 23rd, at 1pm.

Attempt Robbery

On March 21st, at 10:30pm, an unknown suspect attempted to rob the Dairy Queen presenting a knife to the employees.  The employees secured themselves in a back room & called police while the suspect exited the establishment and took off on the run without any cash from the register.  OPP Canine Unit was called out to the scene however the suspect was unable to be located.
