Update- Arrest- Serious Injury Collision- Fail to Remain- Belleville, Ont
On the 20th of November at 11:16Pm Belleville Police investigated a serious personal injury collision at the intersection of John Street and Victoria Avenue. A motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene. The motorcyclist received serious life altering injuries and was transported Belleville General Hospital then transferred to Kingston General Hospital. The roadway was closed to traffic for approximately 4 hours for collision reconstruction and forensic documentation. Police are looking for a vehicle described as a green, older, Ford passenger car or similar type vehicle. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Belleville Police, Cst. Stitt of the Traffic Management Unit or Quinte Crime Stoppers.
Update- On the 21st of November, the driver of the car attended Belleville Police Service and surrendered himself to Police. Mitchell Cole 24yrs from Belleville is charged with Failing to Remain at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm contrary to the Criminal Code and Careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Belleville Provincial Court 07 January 2016. The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call Cst. Brad Stitt at 613-966-0882 ext 2121.
Missing Youth- Belleville, Ont
On the 21st of November at 11:00Pm Belleville Police investigated the report of a missing youth. Tyler Drake, 18yrs, was last seen leaving a residence on Oakridge Blvd earlier in the afternoon. Drake is described as aboriginal 5’10”, 160lbs, short black hair, brown eyes and wearing a navy blue jacket, blue jeans and carrying a blue duffle bag. Anyone knowing of his whereabouts is asked to contact Belleville Police.
