Break & Enter
Belleville, Ont. ? On September 22, 2009, at approximately 1:00 a.m. police responded to a Break & Enter on a Casey Road business in Thurlow Township. The property owner reported suspects entered the business but appeared to have been frightened off by his arrival. Nothing was taken in the Break & Enter and police believe the suspects may have been driving a pick up truck and fled from the scene driving eastbound from this location. This incident is still under investigation.
Liquor Licence Act
Belleville, Ont. ? On September 22, 2009, at approximately 11:23 a.m. officers on patrol observed two males, ages 32 and 33 years, with open liquor on a north end city street. Both males were charged Having Open Liquor in a Public Place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
Theft(s)
Belleville, Ont. ? On September 22, 2009, police investigated several incidents of theft. A Bell Blvd business reports several incidents of theft that are reported to have occurred over several weeks. A North Front Street business is reporting the theft of several hundred dollars worth of baby food and formula. A Bridge East business reported having a purse belonging to one its employees stolen from an office within the building. A citizen reported his bicycle was stolen from outside a North Front St video store and another citizen reports her wallet was stolen while she was at the Quinte Mall. Her wallet was later recovered however the cash had been removed. All of these thefts are currently under investigation
