Belleville, Ontario – On September 21st, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. Police attended at a on Front Street in response to . Investigation revealed that unknown person(s) gained entry and stole including a Mastercraft compound sliding mitre saw, a bag of miscellaneous tools, and an electrician's toolbelt.. This investigation is ongoing.

Accidents

Belleville, Ontario – On September 21st, 2012, Police attended at 4 accident scenes.

At 12:50 p.m., Police, Belleville Fire Dept., and EMS attended a 3 car accident near 300 Sidney Street. One driver was taken to Quinte Health Care and treated for minor injuries. A 54 year old Belleville man was charged with "Follow too closely”. Two of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

At 1:00 p.m. Police attended on Bell Blvd in relation to a minor 2 car accident.

At 4:00 p.m. Police attended on Front St. in relation to a minor 2 car accident.

At 4:10 p.m., Police responded to a 2 car accident on Sidney Street south of Bell Blvd. One driver was taken to Quinte Health Care with back and neck injuries. He was eventually released. Sidney Street was closed between Tracey Street and Bell Blvd. for one hour. Both cars had to be towed from the scene. The investigation is continuing and any witnesses can contact Cst. Eric Hadley at 966-0882 ext. 4153.

Disturbances

Belleville, Ontario – On September 21st, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., Officers attended at a residence on Bridge St. West in relation to a male party who was damaging property. Upon arrival, the Officers observed that the large picture window had been smashed out. A 21 year old Belleville man was arrested for Breach of the Peace. No one was injured in this incident.

On September 21st, 2012, at 10:00 p.m., Officers attended in the Morris Drive area in West Park Village in relation to a "bon fire”. Several callers advised that there were approximately 100 youths milling about in the area. Police attended along with Belleville Fire Dept. The blaze was quickly extinguished and the crowd dispersed. An officer observed a male carrying an open 26 oz. bottle of liquor. A check revealed that this male was on Bail conditions. One of his conditions was "not to consume alcohol”. He was also breaching a curfew condition. When arrested, marijuana was seized from his pocket. A 22 year old Burlington man was held for a Bail Hearing on charges of two counts of Breach of an Undertaking and Possession of Marijuana.

On September 21st, 2012, at 11:30 p.m., Police attended on Yeomans Street in relation to a disturbance. An officer observed a male discarding an item onto the ground. This item turned out to be a switchblade which is a prohibited weapon. John Collingridge Jr., 29 years of age, of Trenton, was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Carry a Concealed Weapon. He will appear in court on October 18th, 2012. The knife was not part of the original complaint.

On September 22nd, 2012, at 1:15 a.m., Police attended at a parking lot on N. Front Street in relation to a male stumbling around a parked motorcycle. A 28 year old Belleville man was arrested for public intoxication.
