The Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls for service between April 21st, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and April 22nd, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Theft of Motor Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario – On the 22nd of April 2019 at 12:20 am, police responded to a stolen motor vehicle complaint. Witnesses observed several youths steal a vehicle from an old east hill residence. Within minutes, officers stopped the vehicle in the area of Moira and Grove Street. In an attempt to prevent the suspects from fleeing both the stolen motor vehicle and two police vehicles sustained minor damage. Four young offenders were arrested. There were no injuries sustain by police or the suspects. All four young offenders were released on a PTA with conditions and will appear in Belleville youth court on May 21st.

Break & Enter

Belleville, Ontario – On the 22ndof April 2019 at 12:30 am, police were called to attend a residence in the City’s east end with regard to a home alarm call. Upon arrival, officers observed a smashed out bedroom window. Unknown suspect(s) stole money, medication and jewelry. The OPP Canine Unit attended the scene and the investigation is on-going.
