Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario- On 22 February, 2011 at 5:33 p.m. police attended at a residence on Casey Road in response to a report of a break and enter that occurred sometime around 6:15 a.m... The resident reported that an unknown person entered the residence via a rear door, was startled and then fled the residence. Nothing was reported as stolen. This investigation is ongoing.

Weapons offences ? Arrest
Belleville, Ontario ? On 22 February, 2011 at 6:42 p.m., members of the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch and ERT as well as Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit and OPP Canine executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence on Wilkins Street, Belleville.
A search of the residence revealed a semi automatic "sawed-off? 12guage shotgun leaning against a wall. The firearm was not securely stored and was cut off at the stock and wrapped with black electrical tape. There were also five rounds of 12 gauge ammunition located on a shelf in the entrance of the apartment.
David Thomas HAWLEY (27 years), of Belleville has been charged with Careless Storage of a firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with ammunition in relation to this incident. Hawley will appear in Provincial court on 25 March, 2011.
