Impaired Driver
Belleville, Ontario - At approximately 04:40a.m., Belleville Police stopped a vehicle on Catherine St. As a result of further investigation an 18 year old, male, resident of Maynooth, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle and driving in excess of 80 mgs. He was released from custody with a February court date. The male's father later attended the station to claim his vehicle and was not happy to find that as a result of the charges his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

Belleville, Ontario ? Near the noon hour Patrol Officers stopped a vehicle bearing an expired license validation tag on Station St. Further investigation resulted in a 26 year old male resident of Belleville being charged with Driving while disqualified; operate motor vehicle without ignition interlock device and Possession of a controlled substance. In addition he was also charged with; drive while suspended, owner operate motor vehicle without insurance, and unauthorized use of license plates under the Highway Traffic Act. The driver was released with a February court date.
A 24 year old male passenger, also resident of Belleville, has been charged with Possession of a controlled substance and Possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Breach of recognizance. He is being held for a bail hearing on 23 January 2012.
