The Belleville Police responded to 64 calls for service between 0500 hrs on 22 June 2019 and 23 June 2019.

 

Serious assault

Belleville Ont,  The Belleville Police Service is investigating a serious assault which occurred in the early morning hours of June 22, 2019 outside of an establishment on North Front Street.  The victim has suffered severe injuries and is being treated at Kingston General Hospital.  Minutes after the first incident a second incident occurred in a neighbouring parking lot involving the same suspect and a second victim.  The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his mid 20’s, approximately 6’ tall, 180 lbs, short brown hair and was wearing a red tank top at the time of the two incidents.  The second victim was rendered assistance by some bystanders prior to being treated by Paramedics.  The suspect was further observed leaving the area in possibly a dark coloured Pontiac Grand Prix or Grand Am.  The Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch has taken over the incidents and are looking to speak to the bystanders who assisted with the second victim as well as any other witnesses who can provide any information to the two assaults.

Indecent acts

Belleville ON, On 22 June 2019 at 5:20pm, Belleville Police attended a Front Street address with regard to a male exposing himself to passersby, one of whom being a 14-year old girl. Police located the male described by the complainants, and he was arrested. A 53 year old Belleville man was arrested for indecent acts, exposing himself to a person under 16, nudity, breach of recognizance, and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing.

 

Arrest made in theft.

Belleville ON, On 22 June at 7:10pm, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Stanley Street. A male passenger in the vehicle was identified, and he was being sought by police for a theft at an east end business on the 6th of June. David Reid, 26, of Belleville was arrested and released on an appearance notice with a July court date.
