Belleville, Ontario – On November 22nd, 2014, at 3:45 p.m. police attended at a rooming house on Hillside Street in relation to a disturbance.  One of the boarders lost control and damaged a kitchen area as well as a table, doors and windows.  A 19 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with mischief and breach of probation.  He was also responsible for an altercation at a downtown bank on November 19th, 2014. The accused became upset when the bank would not cash his cheque. The accused was yelling and swearing and pushed another customer who intervened.  Additional charges of causing a disturbance by swearing and breach of probation were laid.  He was held for a bail hearing on November 24th, 2014.


Dangerous Situation


Belleville, Ontario – On November 22nd, 2014, at 9:50 p.m. police received a phone call from a motorist who was stuck on train tracks.  Officers attended on Sidney Street south of Dundas St. West and learned that the motorist had turned east onto the CP tracks.  She travelled 30 meters before exiting her car.  The trains were stopped to allow the officers to remove the car. There was no apparent damage to the tracks nor car.


Impaired Driver


Belleville, Ontario – On November 22nd, 2014, at 11:10 p.m. police attended at the intersection of College St. East and Moira St. East in relation to a two-car accident.  One of the motorists was placed on the roadside screening device and failed.  An 18 year old Picton woman was charged with Over 80 mgs and "novice driver – operate a motor vehicle with an alcohol level greater that zero”. She will appear in Belleville Criminal Court on December 11th, 2014.  There were no injuries in the accident.



Bail Violations


Belleville, Ontario –On November 22nd, 2014, at 11:35 p.m. police attended at a residence on Palmer Road in relation to a bail violation. A 37 year old Belleville woman had her surety revoked by her parents.  As a result she was arrested and held for another bail hearing on November 23rd, 2014.
