Assault / Breach of Probation- Belleville, ON

On the 22nd of November 2015 at 5:00pm Belleville Police attended a residence in the Hillcrest area with regard to an assault. Prior to police arrival there had been a dispute between 2 male parties whereby the victim was assaulted and sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries. During this altercation a neighbor tried to intervene and was also assaulted and sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries. When the accused was arrested by police he assaulted an officer with the intent to resist arrest. The officer sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries. John Way a 53 year old Belleville man has been charged with 2 counts of assault 1 count of assault police and 1 count of breach of probation. The accused will appear in Belleville Bail court later today.
