On October 23, 2009, at 2:29 a.m., a police officer observed a vehicle traveling on Sidney Street make a left turn, at a high rate of speed, onto Catherine Street causing the vehicle to slide sideways almost striking a pole. The vehicle eventually stopped for police and the driver was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor vehicle. The driver was charged with one count each of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Over 80 mgs, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, and Driving While under Suspension. The 24 year old Belleville male is being held for a Bail hearing set for October 23, 2009.
On October 23, 2009, at 4:00 a.m., police checked a vehicle on Sidney Street. A 21 year old Frankford male was arrested and charged with Over 80 mgs. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a November court date.
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 23, 2009, at 8:00 p.m., a George street resident reported his vehicle stolen. The vehicle was last seen at 12:00 p.m., on October 22, 2009 and had been parked in the lot of his George Street residence. The vehicle is a 1997, GEO Tracker SUV, Red with a white roof. The plate number is 232YWY.

Belleville, Ont. ? On October 23, 2009, at 1:20 a.m., police were in the area of North Front Street where they observed a disturbance in a bar parking lot. As a result a 22 year old Belleville male was arrested for public intoxication for his own protection. He was later released with a Provincial Offences Notice for Intoxicated in a Public Place contrary to the liquor Licence Act.

Belleville, Ont. ? On October 23, 2009, a Pine Street resident reported that sometime during the day suspects entered her home and removed a 27 inch plasma TV and jewelry. The home owner reports thieves entered through an unlocked door.
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 23, 2009, a home on Burton Street was entered through a basement window. The home was alarmed and suspects were scared off after the alarm activated. Nothing was taken from the home.
