Crimes against the elderly-**UPDATED-PHOTO OF SUSPECT**

Belleville, Ontario – On November 21st 2018 at 7:47 p.m. police responded to a call from an elderly city woman who was victimized by having her property stolen by a passerby who had earlier helped the woman after she had fallen in the area of Bridge Street West and Sidney Street. The woman reported she had taken a fall to the street at the reported location.  A passer-by - described as a white female, approximately 25-30 years of age, with a pierced eyebrow - assisted the fallen woman up to her feet.  The two had discussion.  The suspect woman then assisted the elderly female to her home, which is within close proximity to the fall.  Once at the home of the victim, the suspect was described as becoming “snoopy” and lurking around inside the residence against the wishes of the victim.  An investigation revealed the suspect had left the residence, but not before stealing medication, jewelry, a banking card, and cell phone belonging to the victim.  Police are in the process of obtaining video from two locations: one being where the victim resides, and another store where her bank card was used.  The victim was not harmed in any way.   Police are continuing a vigorous investigation into this matter and are asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect by contacting Investigating Officer Cst.
