Belleville Ontario- Fraud


On the 23rd of April at 8:35Am Belleville Police Service investigated a fraud involving the advertising of rental housing. The victim reported responding to an ad and then sending money to an unknown person to secure the rental property displayed in the ad. Police are reminding persons to view the property and documents associated with rental properties in person. No money should be forwarded to secure rental property in advance. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crime Stoppers


Belleville, Ontario- Impaired Driving Arrest


On the 23rd of April 2014 at 11:50Pm Belleville Police Service received a call of a suspected impaired driver on North Front Street. An officer located the vehicle and found the driver to be impaired by alcohol. Subsequent breath tests were conducted and determined the driver was also over the legal limit. 49yr old Terry Crowell from Belleville was released on a promise to appear for court May 15th charged with impaired driving and over 80 milligrams.
