Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario ? February 24, 2010 at 9:09 a.m. Police attended at a residence on Sidney Street in response to a complainant of a stolen vehicle. The victim reported that sometime overnight unknown person(s) smashed a window to gain entry and stole his 1995, blue, Plymouth Voyager van bearing Ontario marker 754 NJM. This van is described as having chipped paint on the passenger side door. This investigation is ongoing.


Belleville, Ontario ? February 24, 2010 Police received information from three Belleville residents that they had each received a letter advising that on November 5, 2002 a relative with the same last name had died in a car crash and had left a substantial estate and they were the next of kin. Each resident was advised to contact the author of the letter who claims to be an attorney.
Police are advising the public to be aware of suspicious letters that identify them as the next of kin to estates and to contact Belleville Police Service or Phone Busters at 1-888-495-8501 for assistance in determining authenticity.
