, Ont. ? On 24 July 2009, at approximately 12:42 a.m., police were called to a North Front Street
fast food restaurant regarding a male that had passed out on the ground near the drive thru window.
The 30 year old Deseronto male was on a Recognizance of Bail with conditions not to consume alcohol and not to be away from his residence between a certain time frame.
The male was charged with Fail to Comply with a Recognizance and subsequently held for a Bail Hearing.
Liquor License Act
Belleville, Ont: - On July 24, 2009, at approximately 2:29 a.m., police were dispatched to North Front Street regarding an intoxicated male. After investigation the 20 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection and subsequently charged with Intoxicated in a Public Place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act. While en route to the Police Station, at 2:34 a.m. the officer came upon another intoxicated male on North Front Street that was refusing to get into the van that was to drive him home. After investigation the 26 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection and subsequently charged with Intoxicated in a Public Place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
Belleville, Ontario - On the 24th of July 2009 at approximately 8:00am, an employee came across a break, enter, and theft at a small business in the east end of Belleville. A cash box was taken with an undisclosed amount of money being stolen. The investigation is continuing.
Break and Enter / Attempted Arson
Belleville, Ontario - On the 24th of July 2009 at approximately 10:00am, a second break and enter was reported to police from a business in the east end of the City. Approximately 60 pounds of copper was stolen as a result of this break and enter. The unknown suspect(s) then deliberately set two fires within the building, both of which failed shortly thereafter. This investigation is continuing.
Belleville, Ontario - Police received a report from a Tweed man earlier today that his vehicle had disappeared during the night. An investigation revealed that a 1989 Toyota, red in colour, bearing Ontario Licence marker BFFM-225 had been stolen during the night from an undisclosed location in Belleville. The investigation is continuing.
Belleville, Ontario - On the 24th of July 2009 at approximately 2:00 pm, a collision involving three motor vehicles occurred in the Sidney Street and Leland Drive area. As a result f the investigation, one of the involved drivers was charged with ?Left turn ? Fail to avoid reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision? under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act. Minor injuries were reported from this collision. Tow trucks were utilized to remove the involved vehicles to safety. Paramedics were also on scene, along with public works ? which provided assistance with fuel and oil clean-up. Property damage is estimated to be in the thousands of dollars.
