Obstructing Police and Breach of Condition
Belleville, Ontario- On June 23rd, 2018, at 1140pm, officers conducted a traffic stop of a motor vehicle driving suspiciously in a North End industrial area. Two male occupants were spoken to by police; however, they were unable to provide any identifying documentation in order to confirm their identity. Both were taken into custody and held until their identities could be confirmed. The Belleville Police Service Forensic Identification Unit was able to confirm the identity of the passenger who had originally provided a false name to police. As a result, Zoltan FARKAS (33yrs) of Toronto, ON has been charged with Obstructing Police and breaching court ordered curfew condition. FARKAS is schedule to appear in Belleville court in July 2018. The driver of the vehicle was issued Provincial Offence Notices for driving without a licence.
