The Belleville Police Service responded to 87 calls between August 23rd 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and August 24th 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Disturbance results in stabbing

Belleville, ON - On the 23rd of August2019 at 10 p.m., police responded to a downtown bar regarding a disturbance.  When police arrived, they located a male suffering from a minor stab wound.  The suspect involved was observed leaving the scene in a small blue hatchback.  The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10” tall with dreadlocks.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Belleville Police or Crimestoppers.

Stolen Vehicle recovered

Belleville, ON - On the 23rd of August 2019 at 6:30 a.m., Belleville Police became aware that stolen vehicle from Kemptville was possibly on its way to Belleville.  The vehicle was located in the east end of the city.  As a result of the investigation, 46 year-old Andrew William McNally of Belleville was charged with possession of stolen property and failing to comply with his probation.  McNally was released with an October court date.

Intoxication

Belleville, ON - On the 23rd of August 2019 at 9:30 p.m., Belleville police responded to a residence in the west end to assist paramedics who were dealing with an intoxicated female.  Due to her level of intoxication and her behavior, the 64 year-old Belleville resident was arrested and held until sober. 

Belleville, ON - On the 24th of August 2019 at 3:30 a.m., Belleville police responded to a north end residence regarding a suspicious male on the property.  The 26 year-old Belleville native was found to be highly intoxicated.  He was arrested held until sober.
