Accidents

 

Belleville, Ontario On December 23rd, 2014, police responded to 5 accidents.

 

At 7:49 a.m. police attended on Old Madoc Road in relation to a two-car accident.  Both cars were towed from the scene.  There were no injuries, and the investigation is continuing.

 

At 1:12 p.m. police attended on Dundas Street East at the Bayview Mall in relation to a two-car accident.  One person suffered minor injuries.  One driver was charged with failing to yield to traffic.

 

At 7:31 p.m. police attended on Bell Blvd in relation to a two-car accident.  One driver was charged with making an unsafe turn. There were no injuries.

 

Belleville Police concluded a hit-and-run accident investigation from Dec. 16th, 2014. On that date a blue SUV spun out of control on Cannifton Road and damaged a road sign. A Stirling man was charged with failing to report an accident.  His front licence plate which was left at the scene of the accident was returned to him.

 

 

Intoxicated person

 

Belleville, Ontario On December 23rd, 2014, at 8:40 p.m. police attended at a parking lot on Bell Blvd.  A male was observed slumped over the steering wheel of a parked car.  A 40 year old Alberta man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
