Belleville, Ontario ? On March 24, 2009 at approximately 2:30 am, police responded to a Domestic Dispute at an east end residence.  Investigation revealed that the female resident had been assaulted by her spouse during the argument; however he had left the residence as police were en route to that location.  The male returned to the residence where the argument ensued.  Officers arrived on scene and a 19 year old Belleville man was arrested and taken into custody for Domestic Assault.  He was later released on a Promise to appear and Officer in Charge Undertaking with a court date in April of 2009.   

Belleville, Ontario ? On 24 March 2009 at 9:15am police were called to a Domestic Dispute at a west end residence. As police were responding to this residence further information was received that the suspect had removed her twin 15 month old infants without her consent. It was alleged that the suspect threatened the victim. A description of the suspect?s vehicle was broadcast to patrol officers and the vehicle was subsequently located travelling a short distance away.  

A 30 year old Deseronto man, father of the infants, was arrested for Uttering Threats. The infants were returned to the victim unharmed.  The male was later released on a Promise to Appear and an Officer in Charge Undertaking agreeing to several conditions of release.  He is scheduled to appear in court in April 2009. 

Warrants

 

Belleville, Ontario ? On 24 March 2009 at approximately 4:22 am, a 26 year old Kingston male was arrested on outstanding warrants by the Belleville Police Service.  The male had attended police headquarters and was recognized as being ?wanted?. As a result, he was arrested on outstanding warrants for Breaching Conditions of a previous release.  He was held in custody for a Bail Hearing later this same date. 

 

Liquor Licence Offences

 

Belleville, Ontario ? On 24 March 2009 at 4:40 am police were called to a residence in the east end where an unknown intoxicated female was outside banging on the door.  Police arrested an 18 year old Belleville woman for being intoxicated in a Public Place. She was detained in custody and later released and charge under the Liquor Licence Act for this offence.

Belleville, Ontario ? On March 24, 2009 at approximately 11:14 pm, police responded to a call that a female who was lying on Pinnacle Street.  Police arrived on scene and arrested a 47 year old Belleville woman for being intoxicated in Public Place. She was detained in the cells for her own protection and later released with a Provincial Offences Notice for this offence.

Driving While Impaired 
 
Belleville, Ontario ? On March 24, 2009, at approximately 2:57 pm, police received a call in relation to a vehicle that was ?all over the road?. Officers responded to the area of Mitchell Road and located the vehicle on Airport Parkway.  Officers arrested a 29 year old Shannonville woman for Impaired Driving.  She was subsequently charged with one count of Impaired Driving and one count of Over .80 Mgs of Alcohol in Blood.  She was later released from custody on a Promise to Appear with a court date in April of 2009.  
 

Belleville, Ontario- On the 24th of March 2009 at approximately 1:15am police on routine patrol on Front St observed a motor vehicle traveling south bound which was checked on radar at 74 in a 50 zone. The female operator of the vehicle was arrested for over 80 mgs and has a court date in April 2009.

 
Drugs
 
Belleville, Ontario ? On March 24, 2009 at approximately 7:52pm, police were called to a central east end apartment building in relation to a disturbance.  Once on scene, officers arrested a 31 year old Belleville man for being intoxicated in a common area. Further investigation revealed he was in possession of a controlled substance. The male was charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the CDSA and Intoxicated in a Common Area contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.  He was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in May 2009.
