Warrants
Belleville, Ontario ? Wednesday, 24 March, 2010at 8:00 p.m.; Project Long arm Officers, along with members of the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit, the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Team, and the Belleville Police K9 Unit executed 2 search warrants at a Sidney Street apartment Wednesday evening resulting in the seizure of crack cocaine and cash.
John Cunningham (60 years), Rhonda Sly (56 years) and Hazell Driscoll (43 years) all of Belleville, are each charged with one count of:
Possession for the purposes of Trafficking
Possession of the Proceeds of Crime
All three accused will appear in a Bellevillecourt on Thursday 29 April, 2010.
The tenant of the apartment was issued a provincial offence noticeby the Belleville Fire Department for "rendering a fire detector inoperable".
The same investigative team was assisted by Belleville Police Service patrol officers in conducting a vehicle stop on Station Street.
In conjunction with the Search warrants on Sidney Street the vehicle driver and passenger were arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service for further investigation.
The driver, a 35 year old Belleville malewas later released unconditionally.
The passenger, 27 year old Whitby man was charged with 2 counts of breach of probation and 4 counts of obstructing police. This man was also wanted on drug related matters from Durham Region area.
This man will appear for a bail hearing on 25 March, 2010.
Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario ? March, 24, 2010 at 6:34 p.m. police attended at a residence in the 300 Block of Victoria Avenue in response to a complaint of a break and enter. The resident reported that sometime between March 22 and March 25, 2010 unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence and stole a LG DVD player (black) and a Yamaha Acoustic guitar. This investigation is ongoing.
