Belleville, Ont. ? On May 24, 2009, at 9:16 a.m. A joint investigation by Fire and Police Services into a dumpster fire beside a Dunbar St residence in the morning hours resulted in an arrest later in the afternoon. A 24 yr old Belleville man faces a charge of Arson and remains in custody for a Bail Hearing on Monday.
Belleville, Ont. - On May 24, 2009, at 1:15 a.m., a 54 year old Belleville woman was arrested on Dundas St. East for her own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
On May 24, 2009, at 1:45 a.m., an 18 year old Belleville woman was arrested on Front St. for her own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
Loud Stereo leads to arrest
On May 24th, at 8:30 p.m., Officers attended a noise complaint at an apartment building in the City?s east end. The occupant refused to turn down the volume. It was learned that this 55 year old Belleville man had a number of conditions given his drug-related charges. One of the conditions was to ?abstain from the consumption of alcohol?. Given that this man was intoxicated, he was arrested.
He was held for Bail on charges of Breach of Recognizance and Mischief. The mischief charge was for interfering with other persons? ability to enjoy life and property.
On May 24th, at 11:15 p.m., an Officer on patrol observed a 15 year old youth who was violating the curfew on his Recognizance. This youth was arrested and held for Bail on May 25th.
Knife produced during altercation
On May 24th, at 11:30 p.m., Police investigated an incident of Mischief. It was learned that a man had kicked the car door of a vehicle on Cannifton Rd.
This led to an altercation where a knife was brandished. A warrant will be sought for a 19 year old Belleville man for Mischief and Weapons Dangerous.
