Break and Enter – Weapon

Belleville, Ontario - On 23 May 2015 at 06:25a.m. Belleville Officers responded to the report of a Break and Enter where bear spray was used.  The home owner was sprayed and in turn had disarmed the suspect and used the same canister to spray the suspect.  The suspect, Michael Mowers, 30 years, of Toronto was located a short distance away suffering from the effects of the bear spray.  Mr. Mowers has been held in custody charged with Break and Enter, Assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, Possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order and two count of breach of probation.
