Belleville, Ont. ? On October 24, 2009, at 3:20 a.m., police responded to a request for assistance at a residence on Thrasher Road. As a result a 32 year old Thurlow Township male was arrested for a domestic assault. He was charged with one count of Assault and released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in November 2009.
Impaired Driving
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 24, 2009, at 2:30 a.m., police observed a vehicle on North Front Street travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle turned into the parking lot of a North Front Street hotel. The vehicle came to a stop, and then started to reverse towards the cruiser. The cruiser was stopped and the officer sounded the horn but the vehicle struck the front end of the cruiser. A 39 year old Newmarket male has been charged with Over 80mgs and released with a November 2009 court date.
Stolen Vehicle
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 24, 2009, at 9:15 a.m., police received a report of a stolen vehicle from a parking lot on North Front Street. The vehicle owner had left it there the night before and when she returned this date the vehicle was gone. The vehicle is a 2005 green Dodge Caravan with plate # AEBR643. On this same date at 1:30 p.m., the vehicle was located at the Harold Quarry off highway 14, half submerged in water. This theft of vehicle is still under investigation.
